Do You Love Birds of Prey?

Volunteering at Wild At Heart is a thrilling experience!

While others work their way towards being different, our volunteers strive towards making a difference. Our volunteers posses a deep dedication that is essential to Wild At Heart’s success. We cannot do it without them! Our amazing volunteers bring ideas, positive energy, and a beautiful intensity.

We offer a variety of opportunities to get directly involved with our bird-focused, education-driven organization. Volunteering can be on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis but usually involve three to four hours at a time. Training and support are provided.

Volunteering builds…

…leadership and job skills, self-esteem, and confidence, all while learning the importance of preserving our wildlife heritage and the value of being involved in the community.

About Our Programs

If you want to join us in our fight to protect Arizona’s wildlife, the time to start is now! Learn all you can about raptors and help others understand that the needs of raptors are much the same as our own; we all need healthy food, clean water, and a safe place to live.

Schedule a tour at our wildlife sanctuary or book us to attend your event. Your group will learn how to safely coexist with native Arizona wildlife. Small groups get an up-close view of WIld At Heart as we share the compelling stories of our unreleasable sanctuary residents. Our tours are led by experienced guides

On-Site Opportunities:

Help at the Wild At Heart Center in Cave Creek, Arizona (by appointment ONLY), our valued youth volunteers assist in cleaning, building, organizing, lite yard work, and can also participate on the WAH Burrowing Owl Project statewide. Informal, instructive, close-up encounters with Wild At Heart raptors are given during the visit.

Off-Site Opportunities:

Wild At Heart loves to visit youth in their classroom, at a park, or at special events such as birthday parties.
